As 2012 gets underway, I am sure many of us have looked back on 2011 as one of challenging times for our company and the public workforce system as a whole.  The lingering effects of the recession have continued to impact so many that we know and see in the career centers every day.  In spite of this, we have persevered and continued to deliver quality services.

So what does 2012 hold? Probably more of the same, this means that we really have to strive to perform at a high level and continue to focus on dotting the “I’s” and crossing the “T’s”.  Often
we get so caught up in what is going on around us that we forget the basics.  Losing sight of the fundamentals can have disastrous consequences.  I challenge each of you to focus on the little things that make a big difference!  This applies across the board from paperwork and communication to customer service!

Speaking of the basics, it was in 1992 that Workforce Essentials (then the North Tennessee Private Industry Council) first opened its doors.  Yes, 2012 will be the 20th anniversary for the company!  What an accomplishment!  As one of the original employees, it seems a life time ago!  Throughout the year, I will be focusing on the changes, challenges, and successes that the company has experienced over the past twenty years.

We would like to recognize and congratulate the ladies that have paved the way for what Workforce Essentials is today:

Happy 20th Anniversary!
