A member of Workforce Essentials’ Board of Directors since 2010, David McCullough has been diagnosed with Stage 4 Colon Cancer. The Cheatham County mayor has been an avid supporter of Workforce Essentials and is an outstanding leader in Cheatham County. His chemotherapy treatments are scheduled to start this week.
David stated in a local newspaper report, “The outpouring of love and concern has been a great source of strength. I have a lot to live for, and with the help of God, family and our community, I believe the battle I’m facing can be won.”
As a community leader and public figure in the mid-state, many concerned citizens have reached out to support the McCulloughs during this time.

David responded on the newscast, “I want my mind to continue to be used, I don’t wanna park it and focus on just the cancer part, I wanna focus on helping other people.”
McCullough said he plans to be working in and out of his office at the Cheatham County Courthouse in Ashland City during his treatment.
He asks everyone to continue to remember him as he begins his treatment. While the statistics have not been in his favor, he’s determined to keep leading these people, and this county.
This is the true reflection of the David McCullough that I know; he is always reaching out to help others. It is time that we support David and his family through our thoughts and prayers.
